The Dawn In a Lonely Shore

At the dawn of the day
When the chirping of the birds
Echoed in the air
And the morning dew
Settled lazily on the leaves
I sat on that lonely shore
Waiting, for the King of the East

I listened to the low
Whispers of the waves
Bringing word from the land beneath
I wondered whether I could ever unfurl
The mysteries that lie in that deep blue sea

The foamy waves splashed
Playfully at my feet
The coolness of the water
Spread all over me
The soothing breeze calmed my soul
And the salty smell of the sea
Became fragrance to my nose.

And then I saw,
Faraway at the horizon
A golden glow was spreading
In the sky
With a tinge of red and orange
All over the blue sky.

The King of East had finally risen
From his deep slumber
Emitting his shining rays
And bringing light to this world
Filled with cruelty and hunger
Wiping away the darkness of the night
To a new day filled with hope and blight

Never had I seen
Such a divine sight
So very calm and peaceful
Mysterious are the ways
Of the Great Creator
Who has blessed us
With a nature so nice and wonderful

Again I looked at the morning sun
And in the sky he shone
I returned from the shore being glad
For the king of east had bequeathed his throne.
